Next day we went to London. London is a big city, built around the river Thames.

Starlings are unsuspecting here. They are not afraid of people.

This is a typical taxi. It is necessary to be careful when crossing the street, since the direction of the traffic is contrary to that in the rest of the world.

A view of the Cathedral from the opposite side of the river.

And one of the inhabitants of the river: the Common Gull. It is "common" here, but not in Spain...

Also next to the river, you find Big Ben, the tower with a clock that is part of the Westminster Palace.

Carrion Crows are very abundant in the city and they are not shy.

Neither are the squirrels.

More birds are used to the human presence. Here you have two Herring Gulls. The first one is a first-winter (born in 2007), the second one is a second-winter (born in 2006).

You  can almost touch the Coots.

This is the enemy!  Some Ruddy Ducks, escaped from the English parks, migrate to the south of Europe, mating with our authochthonous White-headed Ducks. It generates genetic pollution in these populations.

We said farewell to the day in Buckingham Palace, that is guarded by soldiers made of tin :-) They have long-suffering work...
